Our show management partners at ConvExx have let us know that several hotels most favored by SHOT Show attendees are nearing or have sold out at this time and are urging everyone planning to attend the 2017 show to book their rooms now.

“As it has been in years past, Las Vegas will be packed to capacity during the week of SHOT Show thanks to several other trade shows running at the same time,” said Jeff Pressman, ConvExx President. “We’re now down to less than six months before the show, and we very much want to encourage every person who plans to attend—exhibitors and their staff, media members, buying groups and retail and range owners—to book their rooms now at the hotels most convenient to the Sands and suitable to their budgets.”

At the most recent check, the following hotels provided these booked numbers for NSSF’s discounted SHOT Show blocks:

  • Flamingo 110%
  • Harrahs 97%
  • Mirage 96%
  • Paris Hotel 93%
  • Linq 93%
  • TI 94%
  • Trump 103%
  • Caesars 83%

Hotels showing as being booked at more than 100 percent (again, NSSF’s reserved block of rooms, not the entire hotel) mean that at least one of the show’s peak nights, likely Monday and Tuesday, are sold out. Those hotels may still be options for those arriving mid-week or otherwise staying for only a portion of the show, so it’s worth investigating if that’s your travel scenario.

To reserve your rooms, go to and select from either the Venetian/Palazzo, or one of the dozens of hotels NSSF has blocked through its housing partner, OnPeak, for discounted rates only available to SHOT Show participants. Day-by-day prices and shuttle transportation availability to the Sands are shown for each hotel, as well as the hotel’s star rating. Select the hotel that suits your need and you’ll immediately be taken to the reservation booking page of onPeak, our housing partner. If you’ve already made a reservation through onPeak and need to make changes, you can also do so at this page.

Finally, I want to take a moment to remind you that hotel scams are just as prevalent as they always have been. I’ll have more information on that in a follow-up news post on that subject, but what I can tell you right now is that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. By booking through and onPeak, you will be assured that your reservation will exist when you arrive in Vegas, that you will have secured the best price available and that you will have no booking or change fees. Bottom line, we’ve done the legwork for you, you just need to book your rooms before the hotel you want to be in is sold out.
